I have had a very busy three weeks and the veg patch has been left alone. Consequently my courgettes were left to 'do their own thing'. Still edible yeah?

Like wise with my giant red celery. Its giant. Looks like rhubarb - edible?

So chuffed I managed to grow a couple of aubergines. However, something has had a nibble - edible?

Lastly - I didn't sink (not sure if that's the correct term), my leeks. I have then mistaken them for spring onions. Edible?

    Thank you in advance. WP_20160911_006.jpg WP_20160911_012.jpg WP_20160911_015.jpg WP_20160911_014.jpg

Courgette - definitely still edible; they basically turn into marrows if left long enough. The celery, will depend on the variety as some of them are bitter if they haven't been blanched (to turn the stems white). The leeks - should be edible, but I personally would hold out a bit and earth them up to blanche them; leeks are as tough as old boots, and will last through the winter, so there is plenty time yet.
