Is anyone else looking forward to a nice bit of rainfall apart from me?

All four of my water butts are on empty and hate using mains water out of principal. Can't do any digging either because the ground is rock solid.

Maybe I'm just being miserable and too lazy/tight to water the garden every night.

There doesn't seem to be any happy medium does there. I wouldn't want to go back as it was in the spring all wet and cold but some lovely steady rain overnight would be so welcome. Right now I would welcome a good old thunderstorm to clear the air and make life just that bit easier. Stay cool everyone. God bless.

I don't enjoy hot weather at all. I can't sleep when temperatures are high. I like warm weather, just not too hot and I don't mind rain either.

I'm thoroughly enjoying the lovely weather. Especially as I'm off work for a while.

When/if and it's a big if! we get fabulous weather up here in Scotland we very rarely get the humidity that you get down South thank god. I lived near London for over 20 years and can still remember a few years when I went round looking like a permanent grease spot! The humidity in the upstairs bedrooms was unbearable and I often slept on the dining room floor!

Is that what it is, the humidity? I know if it gets to mid 20s round here, it is intense, but when I've been abroad on my jollies I've experienced high 30s and in one case, the thermometer read 42'C, but very dry, and it was nice.

I love the heat - fine during the day when I can find a bit of shade in the garden - but indoors it is too much - not sleeping well - keeping a cold flannel round my neck helps a bit though - and who cares what it looks like ??? not me. :snork:

                    Yes, quite!

When I was in China, it was the first time I had experienced my whole body "raining" (who knew!??) but, it wasn't the sticky/sicky heat that we have here.

                          I'm loving this heat.
Waking up in the morning, sun shining, nice and warm. Lifts my spirits.

Seems that people in general love complaining. :sofa:

It's either too hot, too cold. Too much rain, too little rain.
A few weeks ago there were complaints that spring was too cold and went on for too long. Now that it is hot complaints about that too!
