    Hi

I was at Butterfly World last weekend and saw the flowers shown in the photos attached and thought I might like some in my garden. But I don't know what they - can you tell me please?

The first photo has 2 in close together - the cottonthread-like bundle over a purple bloom that is also in the 2nd photo. Then a vibrant blue and pointy flower. Then on No/4 the yellow blooms in the centre of the pic. Sorry about the quality - taken on my mobile phone.

The last one is growing in my garden. I'm not sure if it's something i planted and forgot about or, if like the opium poppies, they were from before my time at this house. Any ideas please?

    thanks
    Gavin.

Hi, i think pic 4 is a achillea millefolium. Pic 5 might be a mint or a salvia if you're lucky, or a weed if you're not. Does the foliage have a scent?

1 and 2 are a bit unclear, they seem to be some sort of umbellifer (like a cow parsley).

I bet Silver Surfer will know pic 3!

Hi - just realised 5 could be Common Fleabane which I did plant back in the spring but I thought had failed.

Thanks Madahhlia for your thoughts :)

Yes, Centaurea Cyanus looks good. Thanks for the link to the beautiful shot - you can see better why I was drawn to it rather than my awful photo!
