I was given a bird feeding post for Christmas, and the birds are not interested in at, all I get are a few starlings on the fat balls and the occasional great tit on the seed feeder, nothing is interested in the nut feeder. I'm going to have to move it.

Last night after dark, I went out to see the frogs and moved the nut feeder to the trellis which also has a nest box and a couple of those little wicker nesting boxes.

As I was hanging the nut feeder a wren flew past me. It would appear it came from one of the wicker ones, so I moved the nuts back to where they were.

I hope I haven't scared it off, wrens nesting in the garden would be so good, they obviously know where to come for aphids.

I wouldn't worry it was prolly roosting - its early for wren's to be on the next. At the moment the male will be building/choosing a number of nests for his lady love to choose which she prefers.

Smashing little birds - very much ground feeders amongst the leaf litter. So don't tidy your beds and borders too much [IMG]
