Oooh, lovely plants you've got there!

I only buy sale plants, so, when Mr Mum goes to speak I chime in very quickly,
"Ask *not* how much I have spent ... ask me how much I have *saved*!" :heehee:

He now refers to any of my shopping trips as "Mum's out commodity broking"

I do stay away from garden centres other then at spring time, but still can't resist and buy online instead. Only 10 minutes ago i bought:
        1 x lobelia
        1 x geum
        6 x raspberry canes
        2 x onion sets
        1 x dianthus cruentus
        1 x elephant garlic
I know i'm in trouble with that lot! :nonofinger:
Hopefully, when the OH sees that he will be eating some of it, he won't be so bothered! Of course they were on sale and a bargain ;)

I too always look in the sales section at a garden centre that I pass on the way from work. The prices of plants are astronomical compared to the local one I use, but they do have a greater selection of plants. I picked up 2 sedum at the end of last year priced £9.99 and I think the second was £12.99 but I got change out of a fiver for the 2. Both plants are thriving this year and are covered in bees on a daily basis. There are some real bargains to be had if you know what you want and land lucky.
