After nearly 12 months of searching for a new camera, I think Ive made a decision at long last.

Im dizzy with the different combinations etc etc etc. Im thinking of buying a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS25.

It seems to have all the features Im looking for at the price I am willing to pay.

I would have liked a larger optical zoom but I reckon for the money its a good deal.:thmb:

According to the advert above if you buy the Lumix DMC FZ38 you can get it for £259:D Not sure 02 if it is a younger model that you have been looking at.If you have been looking for a year they have probably brought out half a dozen newer models in that time:flag::D

Me and Mr K both have Fuji's of three and two years and have been very pleased with them. The SLR Digi's are nice as some of the members on here have them but they are a tad too expensive at the moment so we will have to wait a bit longer me thinks:D

Oh no you've set me off again Kandy, Im not sure again now :dh:

The one you mentioned seems a bit to chunky to carry around all the time, which I like to do.

I do like that TZ7 though I must admit.

Has anyone ever bought anything off 'simply electronics' site? The prices seem to good to be true. :(:help: 02

Sorry 02 it was just the one being advertised in the banner in the middle of the screen as i was scrolling down, lol.I haven't been onto the site as we are happy with our Fuji's.Our cameras are quiet light and as I have a large enough handbag I can put mine inside out of the case so don't have to carry the case everywhere with me or it hangs permanetley round my neck.:D

It might be worth your while going to a couple of camera shops and asking to see one of the cameras you are thinking of buying so you can get the feel of it so to speak and see how heavy or light it is and how it works. Then you can go and look on the net to see who is offering the best deal for you.In the time you are deciding as I said before they keep changing the spec, just so you will want to buy the latest model:D

We have met a few people on our travels with those all singing and dancing cameras and they haven't got a clue even how to put the batteries in them:D

Good luck with what you decide and just ignore me as being blonde I am probably talking a lot of twaddle anyway:lollol:

The only thing I can really see that the tz7 has over the Fs25 is the optical zoom, 12x against 5x.
If the zoom is not that important I would stick with your first choice.:)

I have a Panasonic FZ7 but that is a chunky 'bridge' camera although I am very satisfied with it.:thumb:
