Hi,
I have recently done some remodeling of the front garden. This has left me with about a foot at the edge of the lawn to regrass.
As i had some seed i followed the destructions and poped it down.
However within a week it was buried under a good foot of snow. The snow is now receding but the seed has not sprouted surprise surprise.
If i leave it will it start in the better weather or do i need to start again in spring?

Would turf fare any better this time of year?

Cheers
David

If it does not come up you can re-seed in the Spring.

Turf should be fine, but I'm not sure I would chance it during the depth of Winter - so I personally would wait until Spring before doing turf too.

Hi David
Turf would certainly do the job ,but best left till the spring now .. The turf will be instant and left till spring will be rooted in 10/14 days and job complete ..

The seed might come through when the weather improves, theres no harm in putting more seed down in Feb/March time too. Like the others say wait till the spring if you want to use turf :thmb:

Yeay!
New sprouts coming up (grass not brussels)
Glad my hard work wasn't for nought.
Might need a top up though.
