Good evening Catztail it has a slight fragrance but not as strong as the original Iceberg(1958) (they reintroduced this new one in 2002)but it is very disease resistant, lasts forever even past Christmas and has no thorns:)

I've got Claire Austin growing in my black and white section. Our old black and white cat Oscar is buried back there so I wanted a white rose. Do you have any of the Austin roses Woo? And have you had more trouble this year with blackspot and aphids?

Hi Catztail yes its been a terrible year for black spot,no aphids,as I decided to go organic and not use any spray's just use the old ways, but with the amount of warm damp condition's we had up until June ,I lost the battle but not the war;) i have'nt any David Austin roses as I am stuck in a time warp(1960's):heehee: but I will move with the time's soon ;) Clair Austin yes she is David Austin's Daughter, and I believe has her own nursery ,Its a lovely musk rose:)

There are some lovely ones! My fave is Jubilee Celebration. Gorgeous color and beautifully scented. Got this pic off the web but it's quite accurate with regards to the color. DSCN4043.jpg

Sadly, yes, my dear friend, I stopped painting after the Poppies ... was that 18 months ago ?????

We have bought a caravan (I know that sounds awful) up on the banks of the River Arade and perhaps I will start again as we look down at the wetlands and hundreds of storks, whom I so love ... just a couple of photos ...
