ID again please?

    Hi can anyone help, something has sprouted up next to my tumbling Ted. Is it a bigger healthier new shoot from the base, or something else? Any help or opinions would be very gratefully received. :please:

    Looks like a tree seedling to me - probably sycamore.

    If you gently move the leaves to the right, you will see which stem goes where into the ground...

      I'd agree with Sycamore, has it got a red stem?

        It does have a red stem, it is definitely not attached to the other stem, but it's very close. That's why I was unsure if it was a fresh shoot that had come up from the root. Needs pulling out then. Thanks very much one and all :ThankYou:

            Yeah, might be a problem since it's currently growing in the wall supporting my patio!!! Out it's coming! ;)
