    Hi everyone,

I've recently found this on one of my cucumber plants but I can't ID it. The plant seems relatively healthy apart from these patches on the underside. Take a look at the pics and let me know what you think.

    Would appreciate any help!

Looks like insect damage, not sure which one. Have a closer look at those white blobs on your middle photo, they might be whitefly or some small caterpillar?

On closer inspection I found these grain type things, though they are very small. Is this what you ment by the white blobs?

I think those white blobs are hairs, nothing abnormal.

      I meant in this area:

Which I think might be Leaf Miner, I'd be inclined to cut off the affected leaves (assuming it's only one or two) to prevent it spreading.

Oh those white parts are just water droplets that are reflecting light I believe (unless I'm missing something), otherwise that area is fine.

As for leaf miner, one of my other cucumber plants (same type) had those distinctive lines and I had no idea what it was so thanks for that. But again I'm not sure that is the case with the first cucumber plant

Here's the plant with leaf miner - About 4 leaves affected, so it would be best to remove these?

      Yes, get rid of those.

Sorry not sure what's wrong with that one. Keep an eye on it, if it gets worse then take off the affected leafs.

Are these outside or in a greenhouse?

I dont think there is anything wrong with the leaves in in the first pictures, I just think the plant is loaded with water and its leaching out the cells of the leaves, guttation comes to mind, but I could be totally wrong.
As to leaf miner, if its only one or two insects you just need to squeeze the leaf where the insect is, its easy to see the blighter's if you hold the leaf up to the light.

It has been raining non-stop for the last 2 days so who knows, though there are only 2 or 3 leaves so far that show those markings.

Thanks for the tip on the leaf miners; I'll give that a go next time given I've cut those leaves off now! :(
