    I'm thinking it could be a Mahonia, but i could be wrong

        Mahonia aquifolium. Tough as old boots and a reliable spring flower, but keep it in check or it will spread. :blue thumb:

          Ah, but it's not spreading Trunky, it's very sparse and 'twiggy'. I've just started a thread asking how to revive it and a couple of other plants.

          You can prune them back hard once they've flowered and they will come back stronger, but watch out for rust. You can spray them with an anti fungal spray to discourage it :) The flowers smell lovely though.
