I've had this weed develop in the last couple of years and only started off as a bit, when it rains it spreads more and flowers ...just moved it 3 days ago with an handle rake because of the lining and gravel and it's come back over night with the rain.

At the moment it's by my one lavender plant and underneath it and a small piece forming by my hubbies shed.

Oh dear once you have Oxalis it creeps everywhere, though can look quite pretty growing in gravel.

Marley is right, common name Creeping woodsorrel - it's a proper pest. It's difficult to pull up as it snaps at the base leaving the roots to regenerate underground.

Yes mine is the same as yours.. Hate it with a vengeance. Don’t let it take hold.! It makes tiny bulblets with the roots and these are a huge pain as it is coming up everywhere before you know it @Gail_68

It does look pretty zilly but it also strips how you have your garden looking :)
John you can't move the roots and when it raked out they're quite long...I hope the liner besides gravel asn't got to be moved now:wallbanging:

@Gail_68 well you could bag surrounding plants securely and treat with glyphosate if you use weedkiller, then I bag your good plants after a couple of hrs when weedkiller dry... Or if you are like me and no weed killers, I use vinegar or a blow torch... ;):)

I wouldn't use a blow torch on gravel as

                  A. It can make the stones explode and blind you.

                  B. If they're calcium based it could convert them to calcium oxide, which when it gets wet, boils instantly, explodes and burns your eyes out :yikes:

I don't use weed killers so only option is keep digging it out but if you leave one tiny piece within a blink of the eye there will be loads more.
