This appeared in my front yard last year. I rescued it but wasn't able to identify it. I thought it dead (it was not happy about being moved) but it's come back nicely, so I'm trying again!

Some sort of kniphofia possibly? Seems very long for that though. The longest leaves are about 2ft so far, and don't stand up very well (it's propped against the bench to get them in frame but they are bent). V shaped leaves.

It didn't flower last year with apparently dying, so no clues there unfortunately. 20210316_114700.jpg IMG_20210316_114401.jpg

I would keep a close eye on that, it has the look of Carex pendula which is a terrible seed weed.

Definitely not that, I have several. It's much more fine and elongated.

There's an Iris with leaves that are similar. Sorry, it just won't come to mind at the moment.

Goodness..how the heck did you arrive at Libertia?
Name is just Libertia...Not Iris libertia.
I wouldn't have been able to be positive what it was until it flowered....
long straight green leaves...could be many things!
Libertia are fab...good in shade...form big clumps.

It was VERY happy. Spread by roots.
Years later spent over 2 days pulling it all out.

              Others well behaved/clump forming.
