Hi one and all could someone tell me what this is and how do I cut or prune back down to try and get thicker stronger branches/stems. I know that wont be for a while as its growning the leaves red in a flower shape at the end there is 4 lots at the moment. Its a great looking plant but its grown on one small skinny stem with 3 skinny stems from that. With a lot of green leaves from that, not sure if this is how this plant grows was given to me.Any advice would be appreciated

    Hi,
This is a pieris, probably forest flame.
It can be pruned quite hard now, then given a good feed.
Pieris grow into large shrubs prefering acid soil.
Normally they don't require much pruning.

I agree with Jazz. For me, Pieris is very slow growing, so I would suggest you don't prune it at all unless you really have to.
