Hi all was about to start the weeding in the spud patch and saw this any ideas as to what these two plants are.Two light coloured plants and the other very light green plants. Have a tonne of weeds to get rid of :(.. I'm guessing they are both weeds that love to be near the spuds lol

The lighter one on the right looks a bit like a poppy?

        1) Opium Poppy

        2) Spurge/Euphorbia - NB the sap from this can cause a nasty skin reaction

If I treat Spurge/Euphorbia as normal weeds, gathering them/other weeds up in my arms I'll get a rash a wet, red blisters on the inside of my arms that takes ages to heal, so I'm careful not to make skin contact with them.

Before weeding out the opium poppies, bear in mind that they do produce stunning flowers.

Yes was thinking about the rash side of things have some heavy duty cloves for moving plants. We have a 40 foot holly tree and it need to be cut back a bit was a big job and needed the gloves. As for poppies will leave them with the spuds and they are hidden thank goodness lol
