    what tree has these flowers?

i'm sorry i can't get a better photo as my camera can't focus any closer.

i did try searching for "tree with small white flower" but as you can imagine i ended up with lots of images of the wrong variety of tree/plant.

so, your help in ID-ing this tree would help a lot.
    thanks for your help.

A picture showing the whole "tree" or shrub would be helpful ...is it upright in habit or drooping and lax?
Check for thorns on the branches..Pyracantha has thorns while Spiraea doesn't.
A clear pic showing the leaves would also help...as Spruce has already suggested.

I lean towards Pyracantha...zooming in on your pic the petals look separated, not touching.
I have never seen Spiraea with such enormous flower heads.
But we don't have enough info.

        1. Pyracantha.

        2. Spiraea arguta.

hey people, thanks for your input.

here's a close up of the flowers and leaf:

should have done that in the first place. wasn't thinking. too much booze!

i lean towards pyracantha. it does have the red small cherry type fruit later in the year.
it has grown to be tree like rather than hedge like.
most images on the internet for pyracantha returned hedge versions and that threw me a bit.

again, thanks for your help. case closed.
