ideas for winter harvest

    Is there any thing I could plant now in containers ready for a winter harvest ?
    The new spuds have been a great success so are there any varieties I could plant now ? and maybe a veg of some sorts

    Hi Captn,

    Hold on till august & plant some Charlotte 1st earlies, then you'll have new potatoes for Christmas.

    Most stuff for winter I would plant around that time, things like American Land Cress, Lambs Lettuce, Yellow Mustard, Cos Lettuce Etc.

    You could plant some Leaf Beet now, give that some protection & that'll crop well into winter.

    Beetroot, Parsnips & Leeks would be worth a go too.
