    Hi all,

I have some plants that i need identification/verification.
    Here's the lineup:

1: Don't know i have two in my flower bed
    2: Don't know
3: Same as 2? It looks like it has flower buds in the centre
4: Also have two, some sort of hedge?
5: Aquilegia (purple buds). Vulgaris? Plain purple?
    6. Honeysuckle. Looks like Lonicera periclymenum only mine started flowering in April (normally flowers June-July).

    Thank you.

Aren't you excited about the peony too? They're beautiful.

Dont expect too much from the Paeony just yet. It will take 2-3 years to reach maturity and will probably give no flower this year and only 1 next year. Given time it will be a very nice plant - it will need support as it gets bigger to maximise the effect.
It also will die right back and look dead in the Autumn. Just cut the foliage back to close to ground level - avoid damaging the new shoots which may be peeking through at that time.

of course i'm excited about both but its the first time i get to see lilies "in the wild" as opposed to seeing them in a flower shop. i didn't even know what their foliage looked like :)

thanks gcc for the info on the peony. I will tag it then and let it be until autumn.
