Hello, just wondering if anyone could help identify this...I was expecting a freesia but this grew instead!

Sisyrinchium striatum, it's a pretty little plant but it's quite invasive although easy enough to dig up and move wherever you like.

I've actually only just bought some the other day for the garden, it brings back memories of my great aunts beautiful garden in Kent where this plant was in almost every spare bit of ground it could possibly find :)

He he yes you got there first. Shame i couldn't give you any....it was sprouting up everywhere over winter! I divided it into clumps to fill some other spaces and it's done really well! I had originally got a pot of freesias from b&q but it didnt do well. It must have had some of this root in the pot or something. [emoji4]
