Identification of ornamental tree!

    Been wondering for a while now what the tree's we have in our garden are. Should have taken this photo when the tree had leaves on which may aid in identification but thought I would try my luck and see if anyone knew what it is?

      A variety of Crab Apple I think scatz, perhaps one similar to Evereste :)

        I think that's what the mother in law said it might be! I was wondering whether the fruits could be used for anything?

        They're high in pectin so make a good jelly :)

          reminds me of "John Downie" crab apple

          I would suggest that you dont let the grass grow right up to the trunk of the tree , easier to cut the lawn , also the tree is not competing for water and food that the grass will take up.
