    Hi gardeners

My neighbour has this beautiful tree but doesn’t know what it is.
I have tried plant identifier apps and Google Lens which seem to come up with two options:

    Exochorda × macrantha 'The Bride'

    or

    Spiraea thunbergii

Of course it could be neither of these. It’s not really trailing/arching as the write up on the Exochorda suggests and the leaves don’t really look like those on the Spiraea, so confused

Does anyone please know what it is?

It certainly looks like Exochorda The Bride but the branches usually droop down like a bridal veil

    One of our Exochordas

They've only just started flowering and become a solid mass of white

Thank you. Yes it does look similar. This tree flowers for around 4-5 weeks, is scented, but it doesn’t droop which has thrown me somewhat.

As I said in my post, my neighbour doesn’t know, hence the ask!

If the branches don't droop or have a laxed habit, it could be Exochorda racemosa.
