    Hi All
Well my "flower" is Like Daisies Michaelmous daisy
only the centre is black and the petals are rich yellow stems about 20" high
    one flower per stem/plant

I have not knowingly planted them, but in the past two weeks they are popping up everywhere in my container pots
Unexpectedly nice and I would like to keep them, only not knowing what they are, would they be annuals or perenials, so should I take cuttings

:) Hi Jack ... is it not the Coreopsis or Tickseed which is basically a weed? But why it would be blooming with you this time of the year is another story ... :loll:

    Difficult to tell the difference
Though looking at and counting the petals between 12 and 15 it is Rudbeckia ( the first link)
Try and keep it as it is adding colour to a bland garden in OCT/NOV

    Thankyou both for your replies

    Regards Jack McH

I don't understand Bilbo's link which clearly says 'coreopsis' but his link says it's Rudbeckia ...

... so, here we go with the Coreopsis link ...

    coreopsis - Google Search

is it one and the same ... ? ... I am truly puzzled here ... look at the name at the top of each photo gallery ...

Not sure about the seeding itself of Rudbeckia but Coreopsis certainly would do so .. not saying that I am correct and Bilbo is not but I am just wondering ...

Well it is NOT coreopsis then, it is RUDBECKIA

Which one is the weed, they look equally good to me, but it is a Rudbeckia I have

    Confused of Jock Land

How strange  Victoria you're not the only one confused, I've just clicked on my link (the one that says coreopsis) and yet they're obviously rudbeckia that are pictured.....and that was what came up in the search box at the top, no idea why when I pasted the link it should say coreopsis instead??!!
