Identity require please

This bush I inherited and I don't remember it fruiting in January before.

It's identification would be appreciated.

Hi Platty, looks like some sort of viburnum, possibly tinus.

 

I can always tell the difference between V tinus and V davidii, because the davidii has the berries and the tinus doesn't.

Looks like Tinus to me and they both have berries.

 

I've had mine for years, strongy, and it's never had berries.

 

now I am hopeless at names, but I am sure the V. Davidii has bigger dull blue type leaves with crinckles in, I have just been pruning round mine today and it has just started to flower.

 

Doesn't look like my V tinus, woo. I wonder if we have the upper hand on our Nurseryman?

My "all knowing book" only says that V davidii has berries .... strongy?

 

Yours may not have berries LoL but they do here!

 

Still not convinced .. you'll have to prove it ...

 

Want me to send you the berries and flowers LOL :D :D I have three Viburnum tinus - all three giants, all three in flower, and all three still have fruit from the autumn.

 

Are you positive they are tinus, Fran?
