Reading this BBC article this evening, and I have to confess that I find myself 'why?'

Now, let me be absolutely clear, I am in no way intending to deride or belittle the pain and sorrow that this horrific event caused, but thirty years later is there really anything to be gained from investigating this once more?

We have emergency services that are stretched beyond belief (have you waited for an ambulance recently?), and we are told that this is due to funding cuts - yet here we are re-opening old sores and spending absolute fortunes on investigations.... for what? Is it going to bring those who died back? Clearly not. Is it going to ease the pain and suffering of the survivors and loved ones? I would suggest that in all honesty, it is likely to do the complete opposite.

If there was no other news, people might notice that the current government is starving the skint, selling the country to China, and poking a slightly deranged superpower with a stick.

Its "news" like this thats fed to the sheepeople to keep then from watching the real news which would both terrify them and make them finally wake up and realise they are being controlled and fleeced at the same time by the "system" :gaah:

If you read the article correctly (I saw the news programme that broadcast it) you will see that there will not necessarily be another investigation. The West Yorkshire Police and the West Yorkshire Fire Service originally found that the fire was an accident caused by a burning cigarette dropped in the old wooden stand and that it would be impossible to discover who was responsible.
A recently published book says that previously similar fires were started at premises belonging to the clubs then chairman, fires for which he was reimbursed by insurance companies, because the book suggests that the Bradford City fire was in-fact arson the WY Police had no alternative but to report themselves to the IPCC because the result of their original investigation. The IPCC say that they are not sure that they will re open the case.
If you want to know why look no further than the lengths that the families of those who died at Hillsborough went to to find the truth. The Bradford families will need the same closure for their loved ones after this book re-opened the wounds.

To me, at the moment the world looks like a bent and twisted place, back handers here and there
Why can't people make money the honest way
            Edit
This is my view of the world at the moment and nowt to do with the article that FC put up

It may go deeper than money, this has been on local news for a while ,the programme that I watched recently states that the author of the book is a relative (son I believe) of one of those who perished in the fire.

Good morning @Jiffy my friend its only a small minority of the people that don't seem true ,the worlds still a great place to be especially for us are indeed fortunate in residing in the UK in 2015 and the future,I am not going to quote that we always have food to eat,the NHS which is still the best in the world,we can even turn the TV over without getting up with the remote:heehee: we can go where we like, when we like and say we we like,we are so lucky, and sometimes our justice takes time but we eventually always find it;):blue thumb:

I agree FC, there are so many out there that will keep plugging away until they get an official verdict stating how they want it to be.

Then the lawyers can get involved.

There is no such thing as an accident, there is always someone to blame, you just need to dig deep enough.
And we are all human, well I think most of us are, so we aint perfect.
