iffy looking lawn

    hi,
    wonder if you can help me,i notice in my lawn that after cutting and when i leave it grow there are what seems to be dead blades of grass throughout its a shame as it is spoilling the look of it,any help appreciated,i have inclded some pictures below ignore the patches they have just been reseed due to digging up a load of clover.

    Hi

    Did you give your lawn a good scarifying in the spring? If not, it would probably benefit from a good raking. But you'd need to time it veeery carefully because midsummer is a stressful time for lawns.

    If you've had plenty of recent rain, or can afford to water it freely, give it a moderate raking and see how much thatch comes out. I'd leave full scarifying to wetter weather.

    BTW, your lawn doesn't look too bad. Mine looks like weetabix spread on concrete!

    i will give it a good raking and wattering too,it has been very hot and dry lately
