Hi may: I love iguanas and I hope to own one one day. How long is Iggy at present? Do you let her wandering on the floor sometimes or just in the terrarium?

May, if you copy the IMG tag your pics will appear on screen.

I wouldn't want to meet iggy on dark night.:)

What a superb looking creature Iggy is! Fantastic photography - that last pic is a competition winner!

She looks in very good health - like miraflores, I'm interested to know how much exercise she gets outside of her vivarium.

Well done - keeping reptiles is no walk in the park and it looks like you are doing a smashing job.

    Tell us about her diet!

including her long tail she must be about 3 to 4 feet long , yes she does sometimes come out , in the summer when it is warm i take her in the garden and she basks in the sun . and believe it or not she likes to stand in the corner shower in the bathroom and loves to have a shower with warm water.
As she would naturally live in the rainforest they do come down from the trees to do their poo poo in the water .

and from a very young age she has done that , she even scratches the door to her enclosure to let me know that she wants to come out for her toilet .

i do clean the shower after ...lol.

Iggy has to have a special full spectrum light , if she didnt have the right kind of light she would get very ill and would not be able to digest her food , she would more than likely die. Iggy is a veggie she just loves bunches of large leaf watercress , and show her a banana and there is no stopping her. but she also likes apples carrots and grapes . to be honest she will eat most fruit and veg . i also keep a supply of ZOO MED iguana food just incase i run out of fresh stuff, they are alfalfa pellets they are made of all natural stuff .

Congratulations to May Hubby on some fantastic pics. Sorry, but in my ignorance, I thought Iggy would only be a few inches long . That's quite some pet you have there, I'd be worried sick I wasn't looking after it properly.
