Ignore signatures?

Perhaps we could have this as well as ignore avatars, as it would be easier for dial-up people and those who don't appreciate frivolity.

 

Liz, the facility is already in place in "edit profile" in "my profile" to not see other members avators and right at the bottom also to untick the box to see their signatures.

 

Well actually LOL, it only stops your own signature from being displayed, not everybody elses!

As far as I can see the facility is not there.

Liz, yes and even with broadband it would still help with bandwidth.

Yes, it does matter, as we are in danger of losing a favourite member and I thought this might help!
I don't mind avatars and anyway the facility is there to ignore them. As DAG says it would also help people like LOL who have slow access to the site.

 

DAG/LIZ I can see the benefits for people without broadband, good call.

Just to clarify from a dialup perspective my little bananamen are only 1 or 2 kbs and this would not affect dialup. The Gardeners Corner graphic is 8kbs.

BM, I like your little BMen, it isn't any one individual, it's the combination of all the pics, avatars, signatures, and pictures.

 

DAG, why would one want one's own signature blocked out from everyone else seeing it? Am I missing something here? Am I the only person who wants to see my own signature? Someone please explain! :confused:

PS .. I also do "my husband and I" pretty well! :D

 

LOL, It's just a personal option if you don't want your signature on all the time- what I hoped might be possible was just what you said- a tick box so that you needn't see others' signatures.

No- it says show signature not signatures -it only applies to your own. Try it!
