        Thanks for that :dbgrtmb:

I think they are the most impressive falls in the world. They don't seem to have changed much since I was last there 30 years ago :heehee:.

Some of my memories of it are not just the falls themselves. Where the spray was going right up into the sky the birds kept flying in and out of it. Also, there were loads of butterflies the size of your hand (or bigger) and because I had taken my shirt off the kept landing on me and, apparently, drinking the sweat from my shoulders. I've got loads of photos of the falls, difficult with all the spray around, but it was before digital so can't post them.

Fantastic. I love stuff like this. It certainly puts things into perspective. Anything man made seems pathetically feeble compared to what mother nature can do.

I've got two scanners but one doesn't work - so I guess I've got one scanner, and that's not very good.

I'll try and dig out some photos and take a photo of them. :)

I, finally, found the old album and took some digital photos of the photos. It's about 30 years ago so they've faded quite a lot

The falls consist of 216 individual falls and stretch for almost 2 miles. A lot of them fall onto plateaus and then fall off in another directions. The rain forest grows all around and the roar of the falls still doesn't overpower the calls of the birds.

The pictures look a little blurred as I'm having to copy them through the plastic covers as they are stuck to the originals.

The 'Devils's Throat' was where the birds were continually flying in and out of the spray.

The volume of water going over the falls was hard to believe - the world's largest hydrolectric dam is further along the river.
