Hi all, I've been away from this site for a while, but thought it's time I checked back in as I'm probably going to need help and advice very soon!

I currently live in s mid terraced house, with a garden that is literally about 10 foot square. No borders or soil to plant in so I have to get all my enjoyment growing things in pots.

All being well, In around 5 weeks from now I'll be completing on a new property. A property with a garden! The garden faces East by South East so gets s fair amount of sun during the day. First priority is to install 2 x greenhouses as i want to resurrect my Carnivorous any hobby. Once that is done I'm thinking of having a tropical-esque type garden.

The bottom part of the garden has a small hidden section with apple trees. Not sure whether to keep as is or use the extra space

        Welcome back, Coolsox,
That looks a great garden, a blank space for you to work on but also fairly well looked after as it.

How exciting! The garden looks a really good size :) I like the sound of a tropical garden. There was a feature on that in a gardening mag this month and it looked great. Good luck with completing - hope it goes smoothly!

Great place to live by the look of it. You will make it home very soon with a lovely garden already on the way.

Thanks for the welcome guys. I really am so excited about this place. It was the first property we went to view and both fell in love with it straight away. My partner loves the house and I loved the garden ( the house was always my second concern [emoji13]).

I've already started planning and making lists of plants I'd like to try. The garden is in dappled shade until around 11am, mainly caused by the large conifer and trees at the back but then gets direct sunlight the rest of the day. I'm hoping to install a couple of greenhouses on the left hand side of the garden, and I need to incorporate a walled pen for my tortoises. It's going to be an ongoing project but it will keep me happy!
