Well through the winter, my cold frame has been pretty much destroyed by the winds :( But some of the pots that have been in there i reckon are probably rescuable. There sweet pea, mint and chive i think and something else that i cant remember.

Also since i followed the excellent garden plan ideas from you lot last year, my laptop has died and i've lost my plan. So i have no idea what a lot of it is any more :( So i'll be sure to head back to the ID section here again :D

Welcome back Newbie. Can't you lift your hard disk from the laptop, interface it to another machine and get your files back. Or is it the hard disk that collapsed, with no back up? Tsk tsk.

[IMG]Welcome back Newbie thought you had left us for good!

It seems you have had a rough old time while you have been away.

My coldframe as stood the test of time (or at least the gales anyway) as you may remember we both brought the same one from B&Q. I put some heavy flat pots on top of it at the corners and they worked pretty well and like yourself my sweetpeas are doing fine.

I can imagine just how peed off you are with your laptop giving up the ghost I would be so lost without mine. I know there is little you can do repair-wise to the laptops as they have to be sent away to the manufacturers and if you haven't extra cover on it it's sometimes much cheaper to buy a new one!

Although could you just be having a problem with your power cable? As I had a problem with mine was told it would cost £100 to get a new one but brought one off eBay for just over £20 and it now works fine.Hel.xxx.
