Images Sizes

    I just uploaded a portrait image which was 600 x 800 (actually 557 x 800 ), and it seemed small on the site and when I checked it was 418 x 600, so obviously vBulletin has scaled it down to max 600 tall.

    I just wondered if it is possible to set max 800 in longest direction, and max 600 in shortest direction? (Rather than max width 800 and max height 600 )

    Or alternatively allow max width 800 and max height 768 which would accodate screens which are 1024 x 768

    Just a thought ...

    Yup, but that's an IMG link to photobucket, sorry I probably wasn't clear, I meant an attachment to a message.

    You are right about the different size of an attachment when posted in a post. I just trialed a couple & they both varied in size a very tiny amount. The pics posted from PB are no different in PB & on GC for me at all.

    Maybe Admin can answer it, but is it a problem.?:scratch: The difference seems very small..

    :scratch: I notice my pic was uploaded as 800x600, but when you click on the uploaded photo it is different, if you click on a photo in PB at full size that you have posted in a thread then they are the same but in properties it says..

    & if you want check the properties but you will find it is the same.. 776x610 .... :scratch: What puzzles me is the 2nd size offered in PB pic properties (scaled to), but not used..? :scratch: 640x503...:scratch: Puzzling.... So is it VBullitin doing it on attachments.? I have no idea...
