:) Alys Fowler...........Head Gardener at Berryfields on Gardeners world..
I think she is an absolute diamond,a lovely personality a very talented gardener,a lovely dress sence but I am not sure about her glasses lol.

Apparently she has a book out The Thrifty Gardener......How to create a stylish garden for next to nothing....definitly on the Christmas list.

    What do YOU think?

Im not covinced by her..... head gardener yeah right more so a personality brought in to try and get a younger image to the program.

All the real work will be done off screen by proper gardeners.

The glases are true dame edna!!!!

I had not realised gardeners world had moved on.

What ever happened to Anne Swithenbank.

I do agree about the glasses on this one, looks a bit like a teacher we used to have at school:)

And that was a while ago.

I think she can't be a proper gardener with that great big floppy cardigan, it'll get caught in the mower or dragged in the mud.

I tend to agree, Carol Klein is much more like it in my opinion.

:thmb: Well roders I have to agree too.. I think she is great, I think she is so "relaxed & normal", I love her approach to gardening very much..... I think she is a breath of fresh air..:thmb:
 Carol Kline is great, don't get me wrong, but there is something fresh feeling about Alys & her views & ideas...
:lollol: I even like the glasses...!!!:lollol: They really suit her & her attitude to gardening & life...!! I think she is very "Individual" !!!!:D

I like her and I do think she's very hands on. There's something about Carol Klein, I'm not too keen on her, her voice annoys me.

I like Alys, but not the glasses. She seems a natural presenter.
As for Carol, I like her, but find her not the best material as a presenter.
When she gushes on about how lovely this or that is, or how excited she is about having some seeds to sow, the delivery of said excitement seems to lack conviction, and sounds as if the lines are rehe****d.
I don't doubt Carol knows her stuff and probably a lovely lady, it's just her presenting that lets her down in my opinion.
