It's amazing how fast things will shoot up in the borders. I looked at the borders last week and they looked pretty bare but now shoots are really starting to show.

Self seeded Crocus in the lawn.

The red shoots are Paeonia Karl Rosenfield, you sort out the rest!!

These are Fritillaria Imperialis [Red variety] which were planted over 20 years ago by the side of the Lilac. They seem to like the light shade and are finished before the Lilac has chance to grow much leaf cover. I also have around 25-30 planted in a ring at the bottom of the main walk around border but they've only been there around 5 years.

And of course I was supervised by Jenny

Jenny looks very proud sitting there surveying her estate, or was she giving orders? :)

She's always giving orders by the look on her face. She and Sally spent part of the day cat fighting in and out of the borders and then went into the red and blue corners when I approached.:cat-kittyandsmiley:

No, Ziggy, I bought Sally when she was a just a ball of fur from a Cat's Home well before I joined GC. I named her after my best friend's daughter, who was a bit surprised to have a one eyed cat named after her:heehee::cat-kittyandsmiley:

And with Jenny I inherited her from my brother when he was ill and he didn't think he could look after her properly. Again, I got Jenny before I joined GC:cat-kittyandsmiley:
