I can't see if this has been done before on GC but I never seem able to grow my Hyacinths in time for December 25th. Every year I do them and in about Feb - May they are a fragrant delight but they are mis-shapen , either too closely in flower or too spa rse. Rarely do all 3 bulbs in pot succeed. Any tips or pointers cos I guess that now is the time to think about them.:D

Rose, are you using treated or untreated bulbs?

I haven't bought them yet but I always buy treated. I think it is during the cold / dark time that I must be going wrong.:cnfs: I use special bulb compost.
