They are absolutely beautiful and delicate - clever you putting them against a black backdrop - maximum impact achieved! :)

Here are my rubber plant cuttings I took on 5/8/08
I always put the plant outside in the summer, and then I take cuttings with the air layering method.
After I wrapped the damp moss around the cut [upwards above a leaf] and put the polythene around I left them until the 10/11/08 and then I put them into pots the root growth was very strong
I am very pleased as I have never done it before.

Nathan you have made a good job of those cuttings.I have read about how to do them in my indoor gardeniong books but have never tried it myself.I was just thinking the other day I might get myself a Swiss Cheese as i had one years ago.You don't see them much any more so I expect they have gone out of fashion...:thumb:

I make no excuse for showing off this magnificent plant yet again,it stands outside most of the year with little or no attention and then it does this.

Roders, when you say your schlumbergera is outside during the summer, does it have any protection from sun and rain? When I've tried to put these sort of plants out for the summer, I've always lost them. Any tips for keeping them healthy outside? Thanks.

:) Terrier, this plant thrives on neglect, thats why I like him so much, sun ,rain and light frost.
It is an established plant with a good root system.......that helps.

Dee it's over a metre wide.

Beautiful. My Christmas Cactus is blooming nicely now. Hope it keeps its blooms for Thanksgiving day, a nice touch to the holiday.
