indoor toms outside ???

    hi all

    quick tom question i am growing some beefsteak and it says for indoor growing

    now my greenhouse is a little crowded and they started to get miffed so have bought them inside and they are in the conservatory

    but are huge and are taking over would they me ok outside on the patio gets really hot there and theres no wind

    or should i leave them inside ???

    I'd never grown toms outside before but last season I tried a few types outside just to see how they would fare. They grew well enough but I had problems getting them to ripen outside. In the end I got very few useable fruits but there again, last year's weather was terrible for growing. If you've got a sheltered spot outside and some spare plants, I'd certainly have a go, you might be pleasantly surprised.
