The www is vast ........... When it comes to finding what you want it can be a minefield ....... So, I think it might be a great idea if we could post the best websites around which we've come into contact with ....

Apart from GardenersCorner.co.uk (personally I've found it a great place to visit, the only forum I know of which doesn't have sarcastic comments posted) .... I'd like to start with www.wonderhowto.com .....

    Anyone else??

I quite liked the look of

    http://www.shootgardening.co.uk/

I tried to put all my shrubs in, but the majority weren't in their system.

The promise was that they would send me a monthly to-do list based on what plants I had, and their Design-yourself-a-flowerbed would help me choose companion plants, and so on - probably based on what other people planted next to each other.

I like the idea of what they seem to be planning to do, but haven't seen enough benefit yet to fork out a subscription.

Shoots good Kristen the plant data base is growing all the time,on the dot every month a care list for your plants is posted,I am surprised the majority of your shrubs are not in the data base you must have some rare ones, you post your description and it's added no problem there I've been on it since the early days and its just grown and grown.

As long as we're plugging other gardening sites: http://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/grapevine/index.php is the 'Grow Your Own' website and deserves a mention. A number of GC members (including myself) are also GYO members. Far be it from being in competition with each other, they are two great sites, very similar in format. The main difference is that GYO is mainly growing veg and GC is mainly flowers and shrubs. I personally feel quite comfortable using both and quite often have both sites running simultaneously so I can flick from one to the other; it's just like one big friendly site :)
