Inherited plant

    Inherited this plant from a neighbour it was a mess and the pot was full of weeds to have no clue as to what it is any help please

      Hi Zander ,
      It's Hylotelephium Spectabile . Used to be known as Sedum Spectabile. Common name is " Ice plant ".

      Apologies for being pedantic here , but I think it's a form of the above known as 'Purple Emperor'.

      Hi thanks for the replies usedtobeDenby and kff now I can find out how to prune it as it's very straggly leggy

      I'd let it flower for this year ; in Autumn cut the stems off and you'll see the dormant growing buds for next year .:)

      No thanks to all for the replies as this is all new to me first year of this gardening very steep learning curve and expensive too, just doing lots of reading and trying to figure what goes with each other etc thanks all above
