    Hi All,

    Any ideas what this is?

I found it under one of the large pots in my garden, not sure how it got under there as the only way is through a hole in the bottom of the pot which has about 1ft of earth on top of it.

    Cheers

Hi adamsh, It's the larva of a beetle....possibly an immature chafer-beetle grub. If you've got any robins in your garden he won't be hanging around for long!

Unfortunately not, being a new development I think all the smaller birds were scared away, magpies are in great numbers though.

I chucked him in the old wildflower pot (which is now mainly wild grass) hopefully it is alone as the last thing I want is a lawn infected with them. I would probally have thrown it over the fence into the fields if I had known it was a "pest"
