Last year, I intended to take a picture of every insect that I see in my garden . That didn't work out for various reasons, but this year, the camera is ready and always with me in the garden.

Please feel free to add your photos of the tiny residents of your garden.

Seen more ladybirds this year than normal. Usually don't see many until well into May.

I found a large brown grasshopper on my greenhouse door yesterday, by the time I went to fetch my phone to take a picture it had gone. Surely too early in the year for them?

I've seen a few shield bugs, and during the warmer spell some ladybirds, Looks like something is attacking my broad beans, not sure what it is yet.

Thanks for opening this thread... Looking forward to members' pics of insects found in their gardens (or in nature at large).
                Looks like Tipula paludosa

With the incredibly warm/hot weather we are having here in France at the moment, took pics of these insects in my garden this morning... nothing spectacular, just the usual suspects.

Lovely idea, @simone_in_wiltshire . I was wandering just this morning whether we have an insect thread on the forum.
