C,ant sleep ,keep plannning my garden in my head, Wonder if theres a gardeners Clnic anywhere for addictive gardeners
Hi WiseOldOwl, its the same for me - not a great sleeper, to say the least, but I do try to take good advantage of the situation by researching, making up quotes (hard and soft landscaping etc.) and like you - planning (not my own garden as I do not possess such a thing, but other gardens). I would imagine the best gardeners clinic is in your garden! Kind regards! Roy
Good Morning fellow early risers!!!! I do all sorts of stuff when most of the country are still asleep!! I've already moppped the kitchen floor, done some washing, caught up on GC, googled Xmas pressies and written my gardening 'to do' list for the weekend!!! And I've still got 2 hours til the kids get up!! I'd love to hear some of your plans W.O.O
Eck, you're a busy lady Windy!! I'm busy with a block paving job right now. But, the bit I am really looking forward to is planting up the retaining walls and getting some large clay pots around the place. I've also planned to introduce a small pond and burn/river but not with water but rather with pebbles. I'll be posting pics shortly. Cheers! Roy
Ooh that sounds great Royster I've got to make a seating area at the end of the garden(where I can hide from the kids  )It's on a slight slope though and under a conifer hedge, so will no doubt prove a lot harder than anticipated I've got some paving slabs and gravel knocking around that I'm going to use. But really must get it started as the passion flower that's going to go down there is starting to rampage where I don't want it to!!
Hi Windy I have a bad habbit I keep moving plants untill i get them back to the place they first started from. It makes feel much better knowing that that there are others that cannot sleep as well. As soon as i can get my brain round the art of pasting my pics on site i will. Bless you.
I am a poor sleeper 4hrs max up at 4.30 am out with the dog for 1hr then when its light out on the bike back to do breakfast for my bride then get cracking on all my jobs, when people talk about lie-ins I think they all mean sitting round telling porkies don't know how anybody can stay in bed
My trouble is getting to sleep - once I'm there, I'm well away....zzzzzzzzzzzz I find it's much better in the summer, as Im doing so much physical work I sleep VERY well! Used to love to lie in bed reading - can't do that now, keep thinking of what I need to do, or want to do... and end up getting up anyway! Fascinating reading all you 4 o'clock people chatting! By that time I've either got to sleep or given up and am doing the ironing. Sorry, Windy, it's that "i" word :D Like the idea of your dry river bed, Royster - looking forward to the pics one day!
