    Just to let you know this is what the homepage looks like on IE8. Not a big deal as I only use IE8 at work.

      The random photos? I will take a guess - it is using media queries for the width. Media queries aren't supported by IE8 and earlier. There are workarounds that a site can implement (such as Respond.js - easy to find with Google/Bing).
