Went for my first interview in seven years today

The position is for a job on the rail network. The last time I was interviewed by this particular company, I was asked(after doing all the relevant tests, being shortlisted and a full 40 mins into the interview) "what I knew of the company"? What a prat, I hadn`t done my home work [IMG] . Needless to say I didn`t get a job that time.

This time I made sure all possible background info was collected and crammed into the old grey matter.

First question "what do you know about us as a company"? Imagine my,rather smug, delight.I rattled every bit of info I had read up on,statistic after statistic, company pledges, vision etc etc.

They might well still be asleep! :D

Heres hoping I get invited to the next stage of the selection process, should know in a week or so [IMG]

Boa sorte from me, pip, and well done doing your homework first! [IMG] [IMG]

Having been in Human Resources / Personnel for more years than I care to remember, I know that is very important. In saying so, I didn't do mine once and needless to say I didn't get the job! I should have known better as it was for a job in HR! [IMG]

We're on Day 11, pip. Target has moved to perhaps four weeks (20 days) but that's because we added additional things like a window knocked through the 60cm wall and the re-flooring of the area in front of the fireplace, the foyer and both bedrooms. This is no mean feat as they have to jackhammer up the old tiles, escavate 10cm of soil (the old tiles were directly onto earth), lay concrete, screed and then re-tile.

As you've seen, these guys don't pussyfoot around! :D

I often burst into fits of hysteria when I read what Mr LoL has written sometimes! :D :D

Finger's crossed for you Pip, still hoping and seeking myself. Would be lovely if companies had the courtesy to respond to me even if it is to say no thanks.
