Hello. Does anyone have any experience growing this iris? It featured in an article in last months Gardens Illustrated. I like the idea of a winter flowering species (although it said it flowers in between frosty spells, which hasn't been very long this winter). I was wondering how easy it is to grow, what sort of soils it'll accept, etc.

We're on a fairly heavy clay but most of the beds have been improved with plenty of compost and grit.

I planted some in a clients garden a couple of years ago, they are flowering even as we speak.:D They are in clay soil with no added extras and are doing reasonably well. I think you should give them a try, as it`s another bit of colour in a winter garden.:dbgrtmb:
