Irish Morado Garlic

    Pulled some garlic today which have been in over the winter Irish Morado average 6 to 7 cloves pleased with this.

      I'm still removing scapes from my hardneck garlic at the moment, so they won't be ready for quite a while yet, and only had my first 'green garlic' a day or so ago.

      I always thought Morado was a Spanish variety (from Garlic Seedstock Guide - Softnecks ) and didn't do well in the UK.

      Maybe you are right i bought it on ebay from Ireland so i assumed it was Irish agh looking at the colour of the cloves beleive you are right never mind.

      But how did you get them to ripen so early? It'll be another couple of months before any of mine are like that.

      They have been in the ground since Oct / Nov
