Well I can give you a little help. I water mine on with a 2 gall water can with the lawns marked out with canes just to know where I have been. I am using agricultural (light green stuff ) and no instructions on the bag which I have had for a couple of years kept in dry shed with top tied. ( farmers know what to do I suppose) I use half a tea cup to 2 gallons of water stirred well. The moss will turn black overnight and after a few days scarify it or rake it out. I think there are a couple of sorts dry application as Pete mentioned and the one I have soluble in water.

A cup full ish to ten litres of water, mix to a paste in a bucket slowly adding water before you put it in the sprayer/ watering can or youll end up with a propiortion that will stay unndisolved.
