About £20 - £40 a sq mt. You get what you pay for and if you don't want it to look fake then it will be the higher end of the price range. Pro's and cons for it but I guess most "gardeners" would turn their noses up at it. It's only got a 5 to ten year quarentee so long term you would have to budget for replacement. Just type fake lawns into google and you'll get scuds of info. Guess it might look just a bit too perfect, great for a roof garden though.

    Hi there

A friend of mine has it in her back garden which is small and shady, it gets almost no sun and she wanted a "lawn" for her kids to play. So it works well in areas where grass just won't grow. Her "lawn" was expensive for the small space - I think she mentioned £1k. They have it at our primary school too though that stuff looks more fake but it's lasting very well considering the pounding it gets from the kids.

I can see it working well in some situations, but it isn't cheap (as I said on your other thread). I played a lot of cricket on artificial pitches and if it's not done properly it doesn't last five minutes, and once it rips it is dangerous and not at all easy to repair. Also I've seen them strech and sag which looks awful. If you have kids then it would have to be laid professionally otherwise I reckon you'll be replacing it every other year.

    Hi,

I found artificial turf from £14 per square metre, and upto £27.99... So just depends on the size of the area you want to use it for. However in the long run, it probably saves you some money on maintenance!
