    I took these photos today.

Some things in my garden are ready to go to sleep, others want to stay up for the late movie.

    Not ready for autumn yet.

Lovely pond and gorgeous Clematis. Dianthus and Geraniums are all back into flower here, weather's so mild it will be a shock if we suddenly get some frost!

If the sky is clear, the air is dry, and the temperature is falling, chances are that there will be some frost in the night. But if the sky is cloudy, frost is less likely, because the low, thick clouds will act like a blanket.
A gentle slope facing south is the best location for a garden, as it receives intense solar radiation, heat and light for longer than other sites. Also, cold air drains down slopes.
