No.....a person should have what they like for their birthday breakfast! In fact I have cake for my breakfast when it's not even my birthday. Good job I don't do it all the time or I'd be the size of a house.

Only if the cake is about to go out of date ...

We will have to buy another cake for our son-in-sin's birthday this weekend to replace the massive carrot cake bought on Monday

Damn you Costco with your enormous cheap cakes and confusing markings :loll:

Is this after having cereal, fruit juice, eggs, bacon, sausages, beans, tomatoes, fried bread, potato fries (I prefer potato scones), toast, marmalade, several cups of coffee, etc.? This is what fisherman eat before going out on a boat for a day's fishing.

Enjoy that cake! Self indulgence doesn't happen that often, so why not on your birthday.

This is the cake my granddaughter had last Sunday for her third birthday......A 'take' on Minnie Mouse, with melting ears. :)

It absolutely annoys me when there are certain dictates for what foods are for what time of the day.
I love going against the grain. Pizza for breakfast, salmon for breakfast, yeah. Eggs for supper What does it really matter. Cake for supper, dessert for breakfast. Go for it.

It's a special fruitcake she made me using currants that are made from Re-annual Grapes. Grapes that grow backwards in time.

So no matter how much you eat, you can't finish it as the grapes its made from haven't been planted yet.

The only problem will be if she forgets to sow the grape seeds next year it will disrupt the entire space time continuum, clever folk these rocket scientists.

(Nods to Mr Pratchett there :))

It's the best time to eat it before anyone else comes round - there's all the more for you!
