Well I have ordered a small 6' x 4' greenhouse as pictured. My Son would help me to erect it but neither of us has ever tackled this before and I am wondering now how difficult it will be to recognise the different parts and where they have to go.
The Company, The Greenhouse People offer a greenhouse fitting service at extra cost but I would much rather we did it ourselves. Bit worried at biting off more than we can chew I suppose, what do you guys reckon?

I bought mine from the Green House People and they're a great bunch of peopl:thumbsup: The plans of my Green House were something that even the staff at NASA would scratch their heads at:WINK1::rolleyespink: .......not the Green House Peoples fault but the Manufacturers.:snork: You will need two heads to sort out the pieces to constructing it and an extra pair of hands to make it easier. It's just the problem of deciding which part is which and which goes where and which way is right. If you can do jig saw puzzles you can do this!!!:heehee:

I dismantled mine & put it back together without instructions. Mind you, the pointy bit ended up in the ground first time & there was no roof.

Main thing with any aluminium greenhouse is to ensure you have the base completely square, measure across the diagonals and get that right before you fix the sides and ends.

I've done several over the years, although I am reasonably practical and not totally inept at DIY.

Make sure the diagonals are the same before you start tightening anything up (as JWK said)

I would lay out all the parts and label them, so to speak. If the instructions say that there are "8 of Piece-X" then make sure that a) you know which "pile" is the Piece-X pile, and b) that there are 8 (or more!) of them.

Once you've got all the pieces organised like that, then when the instructions say "Join Piece-A to Piece-B" you'll be sure you are starting with the right two bits!

What are you doing for a base? Getting that right, and properly anchored down, is important.

The area where the greenhouse is going will be paved.

Don't worry about it too much. I've put up a few, and I think the main thing is to take your time and be methodical. I've found that instructions can be confusing, but usually make sense after a while. Good luck.

                Cheers...Freddy

I often find instructions confusing, I know you are supposed to follow them step by step, but they often miss out a bit here and there and stress a point about the obvious.
But greenhouses are relatively easy, best to read through the instruction a couple of times, remember what you can and then apply common sence.

Base needs to be square as said, but also level,.

The instructions to my Halls greenhouse were very good, but you must follow them step by step or you just get in a muddle. :)
